Cranial osteopathy is a refined and subtle form of osteopathic treatment that uses very gentle manipulative pressure to encourage the release of stresses and strains throughout the body, including the head. It is extremely effective in treating a wide range of conditions in people of all ages, from birth to old age.

'Cranial Osteopath' is the term by which osteopaths who work using these gentle and subtle techniques are known, however they are all fully qualified osteopaths who have chosen to undergo specific post-graduate training.

During cranial treatment most patients feel the tension being gradually drawn out of them and they become deeply relaxed. They may feel sensations of gentle pressure or warmth under the osteopaths hands. Patients often report improvements in general well-being, energy levels and sleep patterns in addition to relief of their original symptoms.
